Dublin, Ireland. Most definitely my favorite place in the whole wide world. I don't know the specific reason but the misty atmosphere, the Irish culture, incredibly friendly people and of course the Guinness might be some of the reasons. š
I've had the pleasure to travel to Dublin for 3 times because of my work and I'll keep traveling to Dublin every chance that I can get. I've tried to discover a new hidden jam in each journey, as well as revisited the great destinations which stayed with me.
I don't know where to start and what to tell, let's figure out together. Shall we? š
The Streets - Grafton Street
Start touring Dublin with it's streets. As there are lots of shopping streets, you should also tour around the residential areas. Look out for the most colorful doors all around the city. There are many famous touristic attractions; for example Moly Malone. By the way, look down while you walking on the streets once in a while. š

A pint of Guinness - Most definitely visit the Guinness Storehouse
Guinness, for those who knows the taste will understand me For those who still haven't tried, please do in the birthplace of this velvety beer. The storehouse hosts guided tours where you learn how to taste the drink properly, you will walk through the brewery process and finally you'll be able to pour yourself a pint of Guinness and have a great tasting while enjoying the scenery of the city.

Visit Old Jameson Distillery and taste some Irish whiskey

After having a tour at the Guinness Storehouse, take a Hop on Hop off
tour bus and choose your second destination as the Old Jameson Distillery. Jameson whiskey is a unique one as it is distilled for three times. There is also a guided tour here where you can experience the distillation process and after attend a tasting class to see the difference between the one, two and three distilled whiskies. After the tour ends I recommend a big glass of Jameson and Ginger Ale cocktail.
The Spire of Dublin
You can't miss the the Spire of Dublin as it is more than 120 meters tall and it is situated on the O'Connell Street. The spire was meant to be built to celebrate the millennium, 2000, but it was finished on 2003.

St. Patrickās Cathedral
The atmosphere in this cathedral is enchanting, if you can fit to your schedule, try to attend a mass. The mystical sound of the organ will enhance your experience. Don't forget to light a candle.
Phoenix Park
For the nature lovers, Phoenix Park is also a preferred destination. With Hop on Hop off tours you can easily go to the park. If the weather is warm enough try having a picnic but if it is a usual Dublin weather why not visit the zoo in the park. In general I'm not a fan of zoos, that's why I've went to the park for the natural beauties.
Prison of Kilmainham Gaol
Now this place will give you the chills. This is now an abandoned prison. With a guided tour you'll be able to see the cells where the prisoners used to be kept in, tour the courtyard and sadly see the spot where the executions were held. The prison also played host to lots of famous movies.

Dublin Castle
Dublin Castle will create contrast but also harmony between old and new. I highly suggest paying the castle a visit, if you can in the weekdays as it is less crowded. The castle itself is a very old structure but with renovations it also has a modern touch. The internal decorations and the museum gives a great idea of the Irish culture.
St. Stephenās Green
While strolling along the city and the streets, you'll come across this beautiful park. With lots of amazing trees and plants accompanied by little ducks and swans. I've seen two marriage proposals there. š
Have an Irish breakfast & Have a beer while listening to Irish music
Start your day with a mouthful Irish breakfast and maybe finish your day with a draft beer alongside fish and chips while listening to Irish tunes.
For a great experience I suggest the Brazen Head, Ireland's oldest pub.

In summary, Dublin is my most favorite city in the world. So I recommend at least a 4-5 days trip. Drink the beer, visit all the ancient spots, talk to locals, listen to Irish tunes at a pub. Have a great time and save some amazing memories.
See you in another journey...
